Q: Can I request the Granville Police to check on my home or business?
A: Yes, you can! Either fill out the form on the 'Links' page, or stop by the Police Department to fill one out. We will check your home or business for you at different times each day, and contact you if we find an issue.
Q: Can I hire a Special Duty Officer for my event?
A: All special duty contracts are subject to review and approval. Assuming that your event qualifies, you will have to enter into a contract with the officers. The application to hire a special duty officer for an event in located on the 'Links' page.
Q: Can I report speeders on my street, and will anything be done about it?
A: Send the chief an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or contact one of the sergeants or dispatchers with your concern at (740) 587-1234. The patrol officers work directed patrol efforts in areas that have been identified as having speeding or other problems. We assign officers to problems as they occur, and as our staffing allows.
Q: Are you hiring?
A: When we are hiring, we list the job on the Village's website and in other locations. The competition for positions is fierce, and we only hire the most qualified candidates. Our officers enjoy a good working environment, a four day work week, and new equipment. Q. Does the Granville Police Department have a K9 Unit?
A. Yes, our K-9 is Moke, a Belgian Malinois. She joined our agency on November 3rd, 2017. The addition of a K-9 Unit was made possible by the generous donations of our local businesses and residents!
